Today the Juniors and some Seniors enjoyed a college fair from 12 colleges across the US and Canada. It's the first time so many colleges have visited campus at one time. It seemed liked it was a great turnout. It was such a tremendous opportunity for our students.
I wanted to check it out. When I got there I was just standing in the doorway when I guy started to hand me info on the colleges that were here. About 1/2 way through his intro he realized that I wasn't there for the colleges (it had been a long time since I have been mistaken on age!) As I begin talking with him I asked where he was from. I was surprised when he replied that he was from Utah. REALLY!? Having grown up there I was instantly curious as to where. Throughout the course of the conversation we figured out that he knew my high school and went to the same high school as my mom! I couldn't believe it. Then it got better. His family owns a well known dairy in the valley. We used to go there to get eggnog and look at the Christmas lights during the holidays. It was quite amazing for both of us that out of all the people in the room we began talking and had quite a bit in common. Who would have thought that I would be meeting people that knew my family while half way around the world in Africa!

That happens all the time here too! Take, for example, the girl who used to live next door to us here in Managua Nicaragua, I went to college with her brother...it is such a crazy thing!
I'm glad you are able to post pictures. The kids have really enjoyed seeing their friends. Ander told a lady in the grocery store the other day that he has a gf and named Angle. Thought you would enjoy that.
Hugs all around.
